Thomas Leslie “Tom” Shuler, 67 of Onley, VA, went to be with the Lord on March 30, 2024. Tom was born in Ridge Springs, SC, a son to the late Virginia Lee Collins and the late Ralph Horace Shuler, Jr. He was a man of God who loved his church and his family with all his heart. Tom also was proud to be an American and served his country in the Army National Guard. Gardening was where Tom found his peace. Touching the soil and feeling the earth brought him joy, and his green thumb was well-known. He could grow just about anything. When he wasn’t in the garden, he could be found cooking, building, and fixing things that needed fixing. If you were his friend, you were a friend indeed and he would do anything he could to help.
Tom made the last days of his life the best days of his life. His family will hold onto the good times that they had the honor of sharing with him. He is at rest on that mountain in the sky with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He is survived by eight children, two brothers, one sister, 18 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., at Baptist Bible Church in Onley.
